Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
Friday, November 13, 2015, 10:32pm: Officers assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to a residence on Malibu Drive at the request of a Maverick County Probation Officer in reference to a possible family disturbance. Investigating officers spoke with the affected party who informed officers that her 17 year old daughter was told to have her friends leave their residence. Upon noticing the Probation and EPPD Officers, the 17 year old female began to assault her mother and was immediately arrested by EPPD officers. During the arrest the 17 year old female identified as Melanie Montoya attempted to escape from officer’s custody but was immediately detained. Montoya was later presented before a magistrate and formally charged and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a Combined $7000 bond.
Saturday, November 14, 2015, 6:43am: An officer assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to a residence on Harding Street in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle report. The complainant informed the investigating officer that his 1994 Chevy Suburban had been taken without his consent from in front of his residence possibly during the early morning hours. An officer on patrol located the vehicle on the same date later in the evening. The vehicle was processed by Auto Theft Investigators and returned to its rightful owner.
Saturday, November 14, 2014 10:30am: An officer assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to a business within the 300 block of South Bibb Street in reference to an attempted unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The complainant stated that after exiting the business he noticed an actor or actors unknown to him had gained entry to his 2001 Ford F150 without his consent and by unknown means. The complainant directed the investigating officer to where and attempt to take the vehicle was made. Visible damages to the ignition switch prevented the vehicle from being started by the owner who stated the damages had not been their previously. This case is under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department Auto Theft Division.
Sunday, November 15, 2015, 7:30am: An officer assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to a residence on Brazos Street in reference to a report of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The investigating officer was informed that a white Ford F150 was taken without consent from the residence possibly during the early morning hours of said date. This vehicle was entered into the TCIC / NCIC system as a stolen vehicle and the case remains under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department Auto Theft Division.
