Eagle Passan Jesus Max Vallejo killed by Hit & Run Driver in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Just a few months after graduating from Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School in June 2015, Eagle Passan Jesus Max Vallejo, age 18, promising life was cut short after being struck by a hit and run driver in Tulsa, Oklahoma while walking on the side of 4500 Sheridan Avenue on Sunday, November 1. 2015, shocking the community and his family, friends, and former teachers.
According to the preliminary investigation by the Tulsa Police Department, Vallejo was struck by a silver Ford Pick-Up Truck which swerved on the road he was walking on and the driver fled the scene of the accident. According to some witnesses, a second automobile also hit Vallejo after the first fled but this driver stopped to render aid and called 911 for emergency assistance.
Vallejo was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma for emergency medical treatment, but he succumbed to the multiple severe injuries he sustained in the accident and was pronounced dead.
Vallejo is survived by his parents and siblings. He had gone to Tulsa, Oklahoma to work and live there.
Fort Collins, Colorado Police Department advised the Tulsa Police Department that a male adult person by the name of Hunter Smith had turned himself in and advised them that he had hit someone while driving in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 1, 2015. Smith is a suspect in Vallejo’s hit and run vehicular manslaughter accident/case. The case remains under investigation by the Tulsa Police Department.
Vallejo was a well-liked student and athlete at C. C. Winn High School, playing varsity football for the Mavericks last season in 2014. His sudden demise shocked the community, family, friends, and teachers. Eagle Passans mourn the death of young Jesus Max Vallejo.
Funeral arrangements of Jesus Max Vallejo are under the direction of Yeager-Barrera Mortuary of Eagle Pass, Texas. Visitation and public viewing will commence on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 11 A.m. to 10 P.M. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 6th, at 9 A.M. at Iglesia Palabra de Vida in Eagle Pass and interment will be at 1 P.M. at the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Cemetery in Eagle Pass.
