Eduardo “Lalo” Trevino registers as candidate for County Commissioner of Precinct 3

Eagle Pass Independent School District Deputy Superintendent for District Operations, Eduardo “Lalo” Trevino, registered as a candidate for Maverick County Commissioner of Precinct 3 with the Democratic Party on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
Trevino previously served as County Commissioner of Precinct 3 during the 1980s. He has been an employee of the Eagle Pass Independent School District for over 30 years, rising to his post as Deputy Superintendent of District Operations.
Trevino will seek the Democratic Party nomination for County Commissioner of Precinct 3 at the March 1, 2016 Texas Primary Election, hoping to win the Primary in order to be on the ballot of the November 1, 2016 Texas General Election.
Former Maverick County Commissioner of Precinct 3 Jose Luis Rosales resigned after being charged with bribery and corruption by a federal grand jury in Del Rio, Texas. Rosales is expected to plead guilty on December 8, 2015 before U.S. District Judge Alia Moses.
Former Maverick County Constable of Precinct 3-AB, Pete Venegas, Jr., was appointed by County Judge David R. Saucedo to replace Rosales after his resignation and is expected to also register as a candidate for County Commissioner of Precinct 3 in the near future.
Candidate registration continues until December 14, 2016 with the President of the Democratic Party, Victor E. Perry, and President of the Republican Party, Lowell McManus.
