State Representative Poncho Nevárez Files for Re-Election
(Press Release) Austin, TX – On Monday, State Representative Poncho Nevárez (D-Eagle Pass) filed to run for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives for House District 74.
“It has been an honor serving the people of House District 74.” Nevárez continued, “I look forward to continuing to build on the groundwork we have established since I was first elected in 2012.”
The Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. The last day one can register to vote for this election is February 1. Early Voting takes place from February 16 – February 26.

Representative Poncho Nevárez represents the counties of Brewster, Culberson, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Kinney, Loving, Maverick, Pecos, Presidio, Reeves, Terrell, and Val Verde. Representative Nevárez currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee, member of the Natural Resources Committee, and member of the Local and Consent Calendars Committee. Representative Nevárez serves as the Vice-Chair of the House Democratic Caucus and Treasurer of the Border Caucus.
