Christmas Automobile Collision Kills One Eagle Pass Woman and Injures Two Persons

Eagle Passan Roxana Elizabeth Covarrubias, age 28 year old, died from injuries sustained as a result of an automobile collision with a parked pick-up truck at the intersection of Bibb Avenue and Maria Del Refugio Street on Christmas morning, December 25, 2015, at approximately 1:30 A.M., announced Eagle Pass Police Department Public Information Officer Humberto Garza, Jr.
In addition, her husband and five year old daughter who were passengers in the automobile driven by Covarrubias were injured in the automobile accident and taken to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for emergency medical treatment.
The fatal automobile accident is under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department.
Preliminary reports indicate the four door sedan automobile was driven by Covarrubias and was traveling on Maria Del Regugio Street when it collided with the parked pick-up truck at the intersection of Bibb Avenue and Maria Del Refugio Street.
The five year old child suffered a broken leg and is recovering from her injuries, as well as Covarrubias’ husband is recovering from his injuries.

Roxana Elizabeth Covarrubias was the daughter of Ricardo and Maria del Carmen Covarrubias of Eagle Pass, Texas. She is survived by her parents, brothers and sisters, husband and daughter.
