Eagle Pass Woman murdered on Christmas Eve

An unidentified Eagle Pass, Texas woman was murdered by gun shot at her residence in the Loma De La Cruz neighborhood allegedly by an estranged male intimate partner at approximately 9:45 P.M. on Thursday, December 24, 2015, in another potential domestic violence homicide case in Maverick County, Texas.
The Eagle Pass Police Department received a 911 telephone call at 9:45 P.M. on Christmas Eve concerning a woman found to be unresponsive and later was pronounced dead at her residence, the scene of a possible family violence homicide.
A male subject has been detained by the Eagle Pass Police Department for further questioning as a person of interest in the tragic death of the Eagle Pass woman.
The homicide case is being investigated by the Texas Rangers from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Eagle Pass Police Department.
Eagle Pass and Maverick County, Texas have witnessed a significant rise in domestic/family violence cases during recent years.
