Juan E. Rodriguez Ruiz Arrested & Charged with Murder

(Press Release) On Friday December 25, 2015, 51 year old Juan E. Rodriguez Ruiz was presented and formally charged before a local magistrate for the death of a 42 year old female.

This charge derives from the 42 year old female being fatally shot on December 24, 2015 While at her residence located Within the 300 block of Church Street. The death remains under investigation but investigators were able to recover key pieces of evidence to formally charge Juan E. Rodriguez Ruiz with homicide.

The case has been under vigorous investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department Criminal Investigations Division in conjunction with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers Unit and the Maverick County District Attorney’s Office.

Juan E. Rodriguez Ruiz was issued a one million ($1,000,000.00) dollar bond and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of his bond.

The case will later be presented to the Maverick County District Attorney’s Office under the direction of District Attorney Roberto Serna for formal prosecution within our judicial system.
