Murder, Auto Fatality, and Fire Keep Eagle Pass Police & Fire Departments Busy on Christmas Eve

December 24, 2015, 4:58am: Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a residential structure fire Within the 800 block of Jalisco Street. One (1) person of interest was detained and the incident is being investigated by the Eagle Pass Fire Department Arson Investigations Unit.

December 24, 2015, 9:45pm: Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a residence in the Loma De La Cruz area. Investigating officers discovered an adult female who was unresponsive and later pronounced deceased. One (1) male subject has been detained and at this time is considered as a person of interest in the death of the female. This case remains under investigation by the Eagle Pass Criminal Investigations Division in conjunction with the Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers Division.

December 25, 2015. 1:30am: Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Maria Del Refugio Street. A 28 year old female was later pronounced deceased as a result of this accident. An adult male passenger and a male child were taken to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. This case remains under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department.
