The Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy held its groundbreaking ceremony of its new learning center at 2072 North Veterans Boulevard in Eagle Pass, Texas on Saturday, January 23, 2016, announced Clelia Valdes, Director of Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy.
Local demand for Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy caused owners, Julio and Clelia Valdes, to expand their current home-based daycare center into a full-fledge early learning academy to serve more young children in the community. Founded six years ago, Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy’s reputation and demand has grown beyond Julio and Clelia Valdes’ imagination that they are now having to build a brand new early learning center on 2072 North Veterans Boulevard adjacent to Amistad Plaza, which is conveniently located and easily accessible to all Eagle Pass residents. The new learning center will accomodate up to 48 students and employ four full-time teachers and two teacher’s aides in a state of the art 3,300 square feet facility.
Over 50 current and past students and parents of Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy attended and participated in the historic groundbreaking ceremony on January 23rd. Students dressed up in construction work gear, including hard hats and shovels, for the first groundbreaking of the earth on their new facility. The students are anxious for their new Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy facility to be completed within five months.
Also attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Julio and Clelia Valdes’ parents and family members, including uncles Martin Valdes and Benjamin Valdes of Eagle Pass.
“We like to thank all the parents, students, and family members that have supported us during the past six years in operating Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy and have inspired us to provide a pre-school learning academy for the benefit of the beautiful and intelligent young children in the community,” said Clelia Valdes.
Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy is licensed by state authorities and provides a pre-school educational curriculum that emphasizes the early development of each student’s mind and learning abilities to their maximum potential. Educational psychologists have found that children learn all the key educational elements of success in life by the age of six years old. An outstanding early learning education is the most important investment parents make in their children.
Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy is now accepting enrollment of children for their new state of the art facility. Children between the ages of 18 months to five years old are eligible to be enrolled at Big Hearts Little Hands Early Learning Academy. The new academy will be opened Monday through Friday from 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. and be under the direction of Clelia Valdes, who has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sul Ross State University in Child Development.
