Eight Candidates apply for City of Eagle Pass City Manager

Eight candidates have applied for the vacant City Manager position with the City of Eagle Pass, Texas to date.  Currently, City Public Works Director Hector Chavez was appointed Interim City Manager by the Eagle Pass City Council.

The eight candidates include Robert A. Eads, Rudy Bowles, Ronald Hixson, Jr., Jesus Sanchez, Juan Francisco Zuniga, Julio Cesar Martinez, Manuel de la Rosa, Jr., and Yarah Mansour.  Interim City Manager Hector Chavez did not apply.  

Since his appointment by the City Council, Chavez stated that he was not interested in applying for the vacant postion but would be glad to assist the City during the interim until a new City Manager was hired by the City Council.

The Eagle Pass City Council may interview one or more candidates and select a new City Manager in the near future at one of their meetings.
