Both the Alice Independent School District and Corpus Christi Cal Allen Independent School District have announced that they plan to file an appeal with UIL regarding their realignment to District 29-5A for 2016-2018 due to the long travel distances and time required between schools, increased financial costs associated with greater traveling, and students academic studies and overall health effects.
