Eagle Pass Police Department arrest Man in Downtown Shopping Area for robbery with a handgun

The Eagle Pass Police Department arrested a yet unidentified male person in the downtown Eagle Pass shopping area on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at approximately 1:10 P.M. suspected of robbing a retail store while brandishing a handgun weapon.
The Eagle Pass Police Department’s immediate intervention and investigation was able to arrest the male robbery suspect with the assistance of witnesses while finding the handgun weapon believed to have been used by the male suspect at a retail store near the intersection of Rio Grande and Commercial Streets in downtown Eagle Pass, Texas, less than a quarter-mile from the U.S.-Mexico border.
According to the preliminary investigation, the handgun weapon believed to have been used by the male robbery suspect is a plastic toy gun.
