Maverick County Daily Reports: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Maverick County Sheriff’s Department units responded to Academy Road this morning, where contact was made with a couple who stated they had attended a party in Loma Bonita earlier that evening. The female complainant stated that while at the party, two identified male subjects approached them and began a physical altercation, striking her in the head with a hand gun. During the altercation, the other male aggressor stabbed her husband in the neck with a knife. EMS crews arrived at the scene and transported both individuals to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for treatment. The male individual was later transported to San Antonio, Texas via Air lift. The Criminal Investigations Division was also at the location. This case is under investigation.
