Texas DPS and Eagle Pass Police Officers Arrest Man Transporting 11.5 Kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine
Tuesday, January 12, 2015, 12:56pm: A K-9 Officer assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division assisted Texas Department of Public Safety Patrol Units by deploying his assigned K-9 on a grey 2004 Ford F150. The vehicle had been stopped by DPS Patrol Units on Highway 57 for a traffic violation. The deployment of the K-9 revealed several indicators of the presence of possible narcotics in the vehicle. A more intense search of the vehicle revealed 11.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine concealed within the vehicle with an estimated street value of $500,000.00. The sole occupant and driver identified as 46 year old Mario Angel Delgado of San Antonio, Texas was arrested. The prosecution of this case will be proceeded by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
