Carrizo Springs, TX 14 Year Old Boy Killed in Bicycle Accident

A 14 Year Old Carrizo Springs, Texas boy, Ezequiel Quintanilla, was run over by a tractor-trailer on Highway 83 while riding his bicycle on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Carrizo Springs, Dimmit County, Texas and was airlifted to a San Antonio, Texas hospital for emergency treatment.  

Quintanilla suffered injuries to his head in the accident and later succumbed to the head trauma injuries on April 26th.

Quintanilla is reported to have been an eighth grade student at Carrizo Springs Junior High School.  The community of Carrizo Springs is saddened by the death of young Ezequiel Quintanilla and mourns his passing.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and Dimmit County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the tragic accident.
