Eagle Pass High School Female Student Hit by Car

On April 1, 2016, at 8:15 am, Officers at the Eagle Pass High School responded to the intersection of Second St. / N. Bibb Ave. in reference to a motor vehicle accident with a pedestrian (student). Upon arrival, officers rendered aid and reported the incident to the Eagle Pass Police Department.

The City of Eagle Pass Police Department and EMS arrived and took over the scene/investigation while the EPISD PD provided assistance.

Preliminary investigation indicated that the student of EPHS was dropped off near the intersection of Second St. / N. Bibb Ave. The vehicle involved was traveling North on Bibb Ave. at the same location. The student entered the intersection and was struck by the vehicle as she attempted to cross the street.

The student’s guardian and school administration were notified of the incident. The student was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room via ambulance.

At this time, arrangements have made by emergency room personnel to have the student transported to University Hospital in San Antonio for further treatment.
