Maverick County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 honors Board President Travis D. Kelly and Secretary Marcelino Perez

The Maverick County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (MCWCID) Board of Directors honored Board President Travis D. Kelly and Secretary Marcelino Perez for their dedicated public service to the local water irrigation district at their regular meeting held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
MCWCID No. 1 General Manager Cynthia Martinez presented Board President Travis D. Kelly a commemorative plaque for his loyal and unselfish 12 years of service as a Board of Director, including six years as President, four years as Secretary, and two as a Member.
Martinez also presented a commemorative plaque to Board Secretary Marcelino Perez for his loyal 16 years of service as a Board of Director at the local water irrigation district, including six years as Secretary and ten years as a Member.
MCWCID No. 1 Board Members Javier Mancha, Yolanda Mauricio, and Beyer Junfin joined Martinez in presenting the plaques to Kelly and Perez.
Board President Travis D. Kelly stated that he had enjoyed serving the farmers and ranchers of Maverick County during the past 12 years on the MCWCID No. 1 Board of Directors. Kelly thanked everyone who made his public service noteworthy and memorable.
Board Secretary Marcelino Perez stated he enjoyed working with the hardest working people in Maverick County, the farmers and ranchers, and the administration and staff of the MCWCID No. 1 during the past 16 years.
Joining Board President Travis D. Kelly at the ceremony was his lovely wife, Olivia Kelly.
Kelly and Perez final MCWCID No. 1 Board meeting will be on May 10, 2016 when up to three new Board members will be elected.
Board Member Yolanda Mauricio is seeking re-election to a new four year term in the May 7, 2016 Board election.
Following the presentation of the public service commemorative plaques, the MCWCID No. 1 Board of Directors, administration, staff, and guests enjoyed refreshments and cake while congratulating Kelly and Perez on their outstanding public service.
