Eagle Pass Businessman Jeremiah “Jerry” Rhodes injured in Motorcycle Accident

Longtime Eagle Pass Businessman, Jeremiah “Jerry” Rhodes, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Monday, May 9, 2016 near Camp Wood, Kinney County, Texas.
Rhodes and his wife, Martha, were touring the beautiful Texas Hill Country on their motorcycle near Camp Wood when the accident occurred. Preliminary reports indicate a whitetail deer jumped onto the highway and path of Rhodes motorcycle. Rhodes lost control of his motorcycle and fell off of it, sustaining serious injuries to his body, including a lacerated spleen, multiple rib fractures, a fractured left eye socket, Brain hemorrhaging, and other injuries.
Rhodes was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas to attend to his serious injuries. Rhodes is in critical condition at University Hospital. Rhodes is having difficulties breathing and is on an air ventilator to assist him with breathing. He has undergone surgery for his lacerated spleen.
Rhodes will remain hospitalized and under medical treatment.
Rhodes is a longtime insurance agent in Eagle Pass with his office in downtown Eagle Pass directly across the street from the historic Maverick County Courthouse.
