Eagle Pass Man physically assaulted and tortured in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico

An Eagle Pass, Texas man, identified as Antonio Mendez, age 41, reported being physically assaulted and tortured while visiting Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico during May 8-9, 2016.  Mendez arrived at the Eagle Pass International Bridge Number Two on Monday, May 9, 2016 at approximately 2 A.M. injured and seeking medical assistance.

Mendez reported being physically assaulted and tortured, including the peeling of his 10 fingernails, by unknown assailants in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

Mendez was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center to receive medical treatment for his injuries.
