Eagle Pass,Texas Man killed in Head-On Auto Collision on FM 2644

A two vehicle head-on automobile collision on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at approximately 7 A.M., on Farm to Market Road 2644 near El Indio, Maverick County, Texas claimed the life of an Eagle Pass man identified as Luis Rodriguez, age 28, announced the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department.
According to preliminary reports, a Dodge Ram pick-up truck driven by Fernando Limon of Eagle Pass was traveling from Carrizo Springs, Texas to El Indio, Texas and a Toyota Corolla automobile sedan driven by Luis Rodriguez traveling from El Indio to Carrizo Springs collided head-on early Tuesday morning, May 10, 2016. Unfortunately, R0driguez died at the scene of the accident from the injuries sustained in the horrific head-on collision. The driver of the pick-up truck, Fernando Limon, was transported to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for emergency medical treatment.
FM 2644 in southern Maverick County is part of the Eagle Ford Shale Region which has had many similar auto accidents claiming the lives of oil and gas workers and innocent citizens during the past five to six years.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and Maverick County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the tragic accident.
