Maverick County Man commits suicide at his residence

An Eagle Pass, Texas man, Juan Rodriguez, age 57, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence on Fox Street in Eagle Pass on Sunday, May 22, 2016.

A family member found Rodriguez dead in his bedroom with a rope around his neck after not hearing from him and going to check up on him at his home on Fox Street.

Rodriguez was pronounced dead by Maverick County Justice of the Peace of Precinct 4 Tere Melendrez.

Rodriguez is the second Eagle Pass person to commit suicide within the last month.  In April of 2016, a young 16 year old boy died from wounds sustained after attempting to commit suicide.
