Shooting in Eagle Pass, Texas reported

A gun shooting in the 800 Block of Comal Street in Eagle Pass, Texas, near the Eagle Pass Creek, was reported on Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2016, with one male person, Eduardo Rodriguez, age unknown, I I njured by multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting victim was transferred to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment and was airlifted to a San Antonio, Texas hospital for further treatment. Rodriguez underwent surgery on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the San Antonion hospital.
According to preliminary reports, there is one person of interest being investigated and a look out has been placed with all law enforcement authorities on the Texas-Mexico border. There is also a lookout by law enforcement authorities for a certain vehicle seen in the vicinity of the shooting. The shooting occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. near the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church property on Comal Street by the Eagle Pass Creek.
There are more than nine empty bullet casings lying on the street identified and marked by investigators.
Eagle Pass Police Department and the Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting incident.
