2016 Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Football Schedule

The thundering Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks under the direction of Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor announced their 2016 Football Schedule.  The Mavericks will compete in a newly configured District 29-5A which includes the Floresville High School Tigers, Uvalde High School Coyotes, San Antonio Harlandale High School Indians, San Antonio McCollum High School Cowboys, San Antonio Southside High School Cardinals, and C. C. Winn High School Mavericks.

The thundering Mavericks kick-off the 2016 Texas High School Football Season on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 7:30pm in a non-district tilt against the Crystal City High School Javelinas at Crystal City, Texas during zero week of the season.

During the first week, the Mavericks will entertain the visiting Laredo LBJ High School Wolves in a non-district game on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 7:30pm, at home in the spacious Eagle Pass Independent School District Cozell Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.

In the second week, the Mavericks will host their cross-town rival, Eagle Pass High School Eagles, in the traditional Menudo Bowl for bragging rights to the magical City Championship on September 9, 2016 at 7:30pm.

During the third week, the Mavericks will battle the visiting Mission High School Eagles at home on Friday, September 16, 2016 in another non-district game.

In the fourth week, the Mavericks will face the San Antonio Central Catholic High School Buttons in a non-Distict match on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 7:30pm, at home.

During the fifth week, the Mavericks will enjoy their Open Week of the season on September 30, 2016 before commencing District 29-5A regular season action.

In the sixth week, the Mavericks open District 29-5A play against the San Antonio McCollum High School Cowboys away on Friday, October 7, 2016, at 7:30pm, at Frank Tejada Memorial Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.

During the seventh week, the Mavericks tangle with the San Antonio Southside High School Cardinals in another key District 29-5A game away on Friday, October 14, 2016,  at 7:30pm, in San Antonio, Texas.

In the eighth week, the Mavericks face the San Antonio Harlandale High School Indians in an important District 29-5A game at home on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 7:30pm.

During the ninth week, the Mavericks battle the Floresville High School Tigers in a key District 29-5A game away on Friday, October 28, 2016, at 7:30pm, at Floresville, Texas.

In the tenth and final week of the regular season, the Mavericks host the Uvalde High School Coyotes in the final District 29-5A game at home on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 7:00pm, at the EPISD Student Activity Center.

The C. C. Winn Mavericks have high hopes of making the Texas High School Football Playoffs for the school’s first time in history during the 2016 season, needing to finish within the top four teams in District 29-5A.
