Eagle Pass Police Department 2016 Report
(Press Release) In the year 2016, the Eagle Pass Police Department received 30,521 calls for service throughout the range of laws enforced and other service calls the department responds to.
Of the 30,521 service numbers issued, 6,848 reports were filed to include motor vehicle accidents of which 1,388 were documented. The Eagle Pass Police Department receives numerous calls for service on a daily basis through our Communications Division which attends to all 911 service calls, Fire and EMS response and all are issued a service number as required by the department’s incident data based report writing system. During the year 1,393 adults were arrested for an array of charges pertaining to the individual incident numbers. 63 juveniles Were also detained for Various infractions of the law.
Officers constantly patrol areas within the city limits and in doing so enforce traffic laws in an attempt to educate motorists in our community. A combined 5711 traffic citations and warnings were issued by Eagle Pass Police Patrol Officers in 2016. Criminal cases, narcotic cases and cases involving auto theft and burglaries continue to be investigated thoroughly by Detectives of the Eagle Pass Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and referred to the respective Courts for prosecution.
