Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
Friday, January 27, 2017, 4:25 PM: An Eagle Pass Police Officer responded to a business located within the 2000 block of North Veterans in regards to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle report. The investigating officer spoke with the complainant who informed him that his green 2004 Ford F250 had been taken from the parking area of the business without his consent. The complainant valued his vehicle at about $13,000.00 at the time of the report. This case has been referred to the Eagle Pass Police Department Auto Theft Division and is Currently under investigation.
Saturday, January 28, 2017, 3:05 AM: Eagle Pass Police Officers Conducted traffic stops on 2 vehicles that Were Witnessed by the officer to be racing on a public highway while on South Veterans Boulevard traveling northbound. The two drivers, identified as 20 year old Vanessa Ramos and 19 year old Salvador De Angel were placed under arrest and later presented before a magistrate where they were formally charged with racing on a highway. Ramos and De Angel were remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $1200 and $1500 bond respectively.
Sunday, January 29, 2017, 2:09 AM: An Eagle Pass Police Officer Conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 black Cadillac after it had been reported driving erratically in the area of Highway 57 and Main Street. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver displayed numerous signs of intoxication. Three standardized field sobriety test were conducted on the female driver who was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The female identified as 56 year old Aledia Guzman Castillo was later presented before a magistrate and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $1000 bond.
Sunday, January 29, 2017, 12:14 AM: An Eagle Pass Police Officer Conducted a traffic stop on a brown 1993 Buick Le Sabre after it was noticed driving erratically within the 2700 block of North Veterans Boulevard. Upon speaking with the driver who was identified as 34 year old Carlos D. Rodriguez Urrabazo, it was discovered that his privilege to operate a motor Vehicle had been suspended. Urrabazo was also noticed to display signs of intoxication and after field sobriety tests confirmed these signs Urrabazo was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Urrabazo Was later presented before a magistrate where he was formally charged With driving While license invalid and felony driving while intoxicated after a computer inquiry revealed previous convictions for the same charge. Urrabazo was remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $3500 bond.
