Eagle Pass Pharmacist Noe Tinajero passes away

Highly-regarded Eagle Pass Pharmacist Noe Tinajero, age 44, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at approximately 1:26 P.M. at his residence on Rio Drive in Eagle Pass, Texas, causing many hundreds of local and out-of-town people to mourn the tragic passing of Tinajero.
Tinajero graduated from Eagle Pass High School with honors and attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Pharmacy School. He chose to return home to Eagle Pass to practice pharmacy despite having many job offers throughout Texas. He joined local pharmacists Michael Luna and Hilda Martinez in a pharmacy business venture to eventually open and operate three local Luna’s Pharmacies. With time, Michael Luna sold his interest to Tinajero and Martinez and they consolidated the three pharmacies into one, Luna’s Friendly Pharmacy at 2176 East Garrison Street, Suite D, in Eagle Pass, where he was working at the time of his demise.
Tinajero was extremely well-liked by his patients and members of the community for his unselfish and dedicated service to their medications and wellness. He also was an active participant in many local non-profit organizations and groups. His untimely passing at such a young age has left many Eagle Passans mourning his death while remembering the beautiful person and the consummate professional that he always was in the community.
Tinajero was recognized for his professional and personal contributions to the community of Eagle Pass by being recognized as the Professional of the Year at the Eagle Pass Business Journal Awards.
Tinajero is survived by his wife, Lorena Tinajero, and his daughter, Noemi Tinajero, an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin, his mother, Maria Elena Tinajero, and two sisters, Moraima Tinajero and Jennette Rodriguez.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel and public viewing will commence on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 1 P.M. to 9 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M. in Chapel A, and on Thursday, March 9th, from 11 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. followed by a Mass Service at 2 P.M. at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church and interment following mass at the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Cemetery in Eagle Pass.
The Eagle Pass Business Journal expresses its deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Noe Tinajero on his passing. He will be greatly missed and remembered in the community.
