U.S. District Judge Alia Moses Swears-In 2017 Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys’ Officers

United States District Court Judge Alia Moses for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, swore-in the new 2017 Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys’ Officers on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, during the regular monthly meeting of the federal bar group in Del Rio, Texas.
Sworn-in as 2017 Officers of the Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys are Edgar Juarez, President, of Eagle Pass, Texas; Sostenes Mireles, President-Elect, of Del Rio, Texas; Ricardo E. Calderon, Vice-President, of Eagle Pass, Texas; Bianca Del Rio, Secretary, of Del Rio, Texas; and Joseph Cordova, Treasurer, of Del Rio, Texas (formerly of Eagle Pass).
The Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys is a non-profit organization dedicated to equal justice under law and the promotion of the highest professional and ethical standards among lawyers practicing before the United States District Court for the the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, in Del Rio, Texas.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, members of the Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys enjoyed a continuing legal education presentation by Michael Lee Young, Chief Public Defender of Bexar County, Texas, on the Immigration Consequences to 8 United States Code Section 1325 Offenders (undocumented aliens).
After the Continuing Legal Education seminar, Bar members were provided a luncheon and refreshments sponsored by the Law Office of Ricardo E. Calderon of Eagle Pass.
The Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys annually celebrates Law Day and awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who reside within the eight counties of the United States District Court, Del Rio Division, at their annual banquet.
