Breaking News!  Two Year Old Maverick County Girl Struck and Killed In Driveway By Automobile

The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department reports a two year old Maverick County girl was struck and killed by an automobile driver that was reversing in her family’s driveway on Monday, March 26, 2018, in Lago Vista Street in the Loma Bonita Subdivision in southern Eagle Pass, Texas.

The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department stated the child was either playing or walking in the driveway behind the parked automobile when a family friend whom was visiting reversed and did not see the child behind the automobile and struck the child.  The child passed away from her injuries.

As of press time, the driver of the automobile has not been charged with any offense.  The fatal incident is currently being viewed as an accident.

The case is under investigation by the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department Detectives Division.
