Eagle Pass Winn Mavericks Fall in District 14-5A Football Opener against Laredo Martin Tigers 28-15

The thundering Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks fell to the Laredo Martin High School Tigers 28-15 in their District 14-5A football opener on Friday, September 28, 2018, at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Both teams played hard in a game of two halves as the Mavericks jumped out to a slim 15-14 lead at halftime and the Tigers scored 14 unanswered points in the second half while shutting out the explosive Mavs offense to earn the key District 14-5A win. 

The Mavericks fall to 3-2 overall in the season and 0-1 in District 14-5A action.
