Texas Senate District 19 Special Election Down to Final Election Day on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 Between Democrat Pete Gallego and Republican Peter Flores

With a dismal Early Voting Period featuring record low voter turnout among the 17 Counties-wide Texas Senate District 19, the key Texas Senate District 19 battle between Democratic Party candidate Pete Gallego and Republican Party candidate Peter Flores is down to one final day of voting on Election Day, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 to determine which person will win the vacant State Senator seat formerly held by Carlos Uresti of San Antonio, Texas. Maverick County is one of the 17 counties included in Texas Senate District 19.
In Maverick County alone, only a paltry 784 voters cast their ballots in person at the Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center during the September 10-14, 2018 Early Voting Period and another 192 voters cast their ballots through mail-in ballots, totaling a disappointing 976 votes during Early Voting.
Maverick County registered voters, totaling over 30,000, will have one final opportunity to cast their vote in the Texas Senate District 19 Special Election on Election Day, Tuesday, September 18, 2018, from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. at their regular Maverick County Precinct Polling Places listed below:
Precincts 1A, 1B, and 1C: Memorial Junior High, 1800 Lewis Street, Eagle Pass, Texas;
Precinct 2A and 2B: San Luis Elementary, 2090-A Williams Street, Eagle Pass, Texas;
Precinct 2C: Rosita Valley Elementary, 735 Rosita Valley Road, Eagle Pass, Texas;
Precinct 2D: El Indio Community Center, 115 West Texas Street, Eagle Pass, Texas;
Precincts 3A and 3B: Seco Mines Elementary, 2900 Diaz Street, Eagle Pass, Texas;
Precinct 3C: Quemado Community Center, 20160 U.S. Highway 277 North, Quemado, Texas;
Precincts 4A, 4B, and 4C: Eagle Pass High School Girls Gym, 2020 Second Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; and
Precinct 4D: Henry B. Gonzalez Elementary, 400 Balcones Blvd., Eagle Pass, Texas.
Maverick Countians are encouraged to take five minutes of their time to cast their vote in the Texas Senate District 19 Special Election on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 because the winner of this election will represent our community in the Texas Legislature in Austin, Texas.
