Eagle Pass BEDC to host U.S. GSA Procurement Workshop on Oct. 30th
(Eagle Pass, TX – October 16, 2018) The Eagle Pass Business & Economic Development (BEDC) will hold its second U.S. General Service Administration (GSA) Workshop on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at the International Center for Trade (East Room).
The GSA Procurement Workshop is free and open to any person or business that would like to do business with the Federal Government. The workshop will feature: GSA registration, GSA procurement process, bidding process, forecasting bidding opportunities, and bid updates.
“This is a great opportunity for Eagle Pass Businesses,” says Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey English-Cantu. “Doing businesses with the Federal Government can be very financially rewarding, especially given the millions in contract and procurement opportunities that exist in South Texas.
The Eagle Pass BEDC begin its monthly business workshops last year and has since held over a dozen workshops to support local businesses.
- Workshop open to all local and regional businesses seeking federal procurement/contract opportunities.
- Workshop topics: registration, requirements, research, bidding/procurement process, forecasting, and other special programs.
- The U.S. General Services Administration is responsible for the procurement of all Federal contracts and insures that all Federal agencies are provided with quality products and services from responsible and reputable vendors.
- Workshop participants that meet Federal procurement requirements will be eligible to properly register through the GSA Schedules List.
