Eagle Pass Eagles Saddle Laredo Nixon Mustangs 48-10 in District 29-6A Game

The Eagle Pass High School Eagles saddled the homestanding Laredo Nixon High School Mustangs 48-10 in a key District 29-6A football game on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Laredo Independent School District Shirley Field in Laredo, Texas.
The Eagles cruised to a 41-3 lead at halftime with both the offense and defense scoring in the first half while stifling the Mustangs potent offense throughout the game.
The Eagles added one touchdown in the second half while the Mustangs tallied their sole touchdown in the second half on the Eagles reserve defensive players.
The Eagles improve to 2-1 in District 29-6A standings and 6-1 overall in the season with three important District games remaining on the 2018 schedule.
The Eagles face the tough Laredo United South High School Panthes on October 19th, followed by a key game against the District-leading Laredo Alexander High School Bulldogs (3-0 in District) on October 25th (Thursday), then enjoy an Open week on November 2nd, and finishing against arch-rival Del Rio High School Rams on November 9th.
The Eagles are on the hunt for a state playoff berth by seeking the District 29-6A Championship or finishing among the top four teams in District 29-6A. Go Eagles Baby!
