The Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks fell to the visiting San Antonio Harlandale High School Indians 27-16 in a key District 14-5A football game on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium in Eagle Pass, Texas.
The Harlandale Indians offense tallied three touchdowns and point after attempts in the first half to take a commanding lead 21-0 at Halftime.
The Mavericks made adjustments at halftime and rallied to score two touchdowns and two point after attempts of two points each to narrow the score in the second half 27-16, but the Indians managed to score two field goals in the second half and their defense extinguished the Mavericks momentum to earn the hard fought District 14-5A victory.
