Texas Voter Registration Deadline is October 9th, Early Voting Starts October 22nd

Maverick Countians and Texans have until Tuesday, October 9, 2018 to register to vote in the upcoming State of Texas General Election of November 6, 2018 featuring important federal races such as U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, State Officers like Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Land Commissioner, Agriculture Commissioner, State Senate and House of Representatives, as well as local Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees and Maverick County Hospital District Board of Trustees races.
To register in Maverick County, please go to the Maverick County Elections Administration Office under the direction of Roy Schmerber, located at the Maverick County Finance Center, 370 North Monroe Street, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852 during Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.by October 9th. Also registering voters in Maverick County is the Democratic Party under the leadership of Luis Alfonso Ruiz, County Chairman, by October 9th at (830) 068-3966.
The November 6th General Election kicks-off with the Early Voting Period commencing on Monday, October 22nd through Friday, November 2nd, at the City of Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center, 480 North Adams Street, Eagle Pass, Texas from 8 A.M. through 5 P.M. Regular Election Day is on Tuesday, November 6th, at local county precinct polls from 7 A.M. through 7 P.M.
Maverick County will have contested elections in the Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees and Maverick County Hospital District Board of Trustees.
In addition, there are going to be many uncontested races such as State Representative, County Judge, some County Commissioners Precincts, District Clerk, County Clerk, County Treasurer, County Tax-Assessor Collector, and Justices of the Peace.
Maverick Countians are invited to register to vote by October 9th and participate in the important November 6th State General Election and federal Mid-Term Election. Do not wait until November 6th to vote, why not do it during the Early Voting Period starting on October 22nd and continuing until November 2nd. If you can not vote during the Early Voting Period, then by all means go vote on Election Day, November 6th. Bring your spouse, partner, adult children, friends, or co-workers. Make time to register and vote, It only takes 5 minutes of your personal time. Your vote is your voice.
