Eagle Pass Eagles Battle Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles in Area Championship on Friday, November 23, 2018

The mighty Eagle Pass High School Eagles will battle the Brownsville Hanna High School Golden Eagles for the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region IV, Division II 6A Area Championship on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 3 P.M. at the University of Incarnate Word Tom Benson Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.
The Eagle Pass Eagles upset the District 30-5A Champion Pharr San Juan Alamo High School Bears 34-28 in Overtime on November 16, 2018 to punch their ticket into the second round of the State Playoffs known as the Area Championship against the Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles who defeated the Weslaco High School Panthers 35-20.
The Eagle Pass Eagles will enter the Area Championship Game on Friday, November 23rd, with a 9-2 overall season record while the Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles sport a 9-1 overall season mark.
This Area Championship will certainly be another thrilling and exciting State Playoff game between these two teams. The winner of the Area Championship on November 23rd will play the winner of the Area Championship game between the Schertz Cibolo Steele High School Knights and the San Antonio Brandeis High School Broncos the following week in the Region IV, Division II 6A Semi-Finals Championship game.
All Eagle Nation Aficionados are highly encouraged to attend the Eagle Pass Eagles Area Championship game on November 23rd against the Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles to cheer and support them on to victory. The game will be played at 3 P.M. at the beautiful campus and stadium of the University of Incarnate Word on Hildebrand Avenue in San Antonio and will be outdoors as the weather forecast is scheduled to be partly cloudy and temperature in the low 70s-perfect football weather.
