Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report

Friday, November 23, 2018, 12:42 PM: A complainant arrived by the Eagle Pass Police Department and filed a formal report in regards to an aggravated robbery. The complainant advised that upon arriving at his vehicle within the parking area of a business on the 400 block of South Bibb Street, he was approached by a known male subject. The complainant advised the known male brandished a handgun and demanded money that was allegedly owed to him. The complainant gave the suspect money contained within his wallet and the known male subject with the firearm left the scene with a second male in a vehicle. This incident is under investigation.
Friday, November 23, 2018, 3:13 PM: A female complainant arrived by the Eagle Pass Police Department to report a stolen vehicle. The complainant reported the unauthorized use of a 2017 Ford F150 bearing Texas license plates. The vehicle had been parked in the driveway of a residence within the 1000 block of Lazar Driver and was last seen on Wednesday November 21, 2018. The vehicle was entered into the State and National computer information systems as a stolen vehicle. This incident is under investigation by Eagle Pass Police Auto Theft Investigators.
Friday, November 23, 2018, 4:22 PM: A report of terroristic threats was made by an Eagle Pass EMT member at the Emergency Room. The EMT reported a male subject whom they had transported for medical reasons was discovered to be carrying what appeared to be a firearm on his person and a knife. The EMT gained possession the knife and the firearm which resulted to be an air gun. The male subject threatened the EMT with physical harm which caused the EMT to fear for his safety as well as the safety of his crew. This incident is under investigation.
Saturday, November 24, 2018, 4:29 AM: Officers responded to the area of the 800 block of Avenue C in reference to a report of a reckless driver. Responding officers encountered an improperly parked grey Dodge Charger with loud music occupied by two male subjects. The two males identified as 26-year-old Rene Fernandez Galvan and 20 year old Alvaro Fernandez were discovered to be intoxicated and in possession of alcohol in a vehicle. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the police department. Rene Fernandez Galvan was presented before a magistrate where he was formally charged with providing alcoholic beverages to a minor and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $3000.00 bond. Rene was also issued two municipal court citations for open container and public intoxication. Alvaro Fernandez was also cited for open container public intoxication and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Saturday, November 24, 2018 6:10 AM: Eagle Pass Police Officers responded to a residence in the Westlakes subdivision in regards to a suicide attempt. Officers and EMTS arrived and quickly aided a male subject who had attempted to harm himself. The male subject was transported to the Emergency Room for treatment of injuries and other medical evaluations.
Saturday, November 24, 2018, 7:53 PM: Officers responded to a residence within the 2400 block of Main Street in regards to a reported disturbance. Officers spoke with a female complainant who informed she had an argument with her common law husband and left the residence running as the argument escalated. The female informed officers that as she ran from the residence, she heard what she believed to be a gun shot. No shell casings were located at the scene but damages to the complainant’s vehicle were discovered. A domestic disturbance and criminal mischief report was filed.
Sunday, November 25, 2018, 10:16 PM: Officers responded to a business within the 2300 block of El Indio Highway in regards to a reported aggravated robbery. Officers arrived and spoke with a female employee who informed she had just been robbed at gunpoint. The female informed investigating officers of two male subjects who entered the business as she was cleaning. The female advised that one of the male subjects brandished a firearm and instructed her to give him the money from the cash register and in fear of her life she complied. The two male subjects then fled the business in a vehicle. This case in currently under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
