Maverick County Public Officials Sworn-In on January 1, 2019

A fully-packed courtroom audience of family, supporters, and friends witnessed the swearing-in of ten Maverick County public officials at a special public ceremony held on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at 2 P.M. at the 293rd Judicial District Courtroom, Maverick County Courthouse, in Eagle Pass, Texas.
The Oath of Office was administered to the following Maverick County public officials at the January 1, 2019 ceremony: 365th Judicial District Court Judge Amado J. Abascal, III, Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo, Maverick County District Clerk Leopoldo “Polo” Vielma, Maverick County Treasurer Rito J. Valdez, III, Maverick County Commissioner Precinct 2 Rosy L. Cantu, Maverick County Commissioner Precinct 4 Roberto Ruiz, Maverick County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Kina Mancha, Maverick County Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Rossanna “Roxi” Rios, Maverick County Justice of the Peace 3-1 Domingo “Mingo” Rodriguez, and Maverick County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Tere Herandez.
The ten Maverick County public officials sworn-in on January 1st were elected or re-elected for a four year term in their respective position at the November 6, 2018 General Election.
The public officials were accompanied by their families, supporters, and friends at the January 1st ceremony.
The public officials thanked the voters of Maverick County for their vote and trust in electing them to their respective positions and vowed to provide the citizens of Maverick County an open and transparent government during their terms of service.
Following the Oath of Administration ceremony, the public officials and their guests enjoyed a reception.
