Four Candidates Register for Two Eagle Pass City Council Seats in May 4, 2019 Election

Only four candidates registered for two City of Eagle Pass, Texas City Council seats for the Saturday, May 4, 2019 Election, according to City Secretary Imelda Rodriguez.
For Place 1 of the Eagle Pass City Council, incumbent Councilmember William “Billy” Davis registered for re-election, running unopposed for the Place 1, City Council position.
In Place 3 of the Eagle Pass City Council, incumbent Mayor Pro-Tem and Councilmember Yolanda P. Ramon is seeking re-election while veteran Eagle Pass journalist Hector Munoz-Mijares and political novice Alfredo Arellano, a Republican Party activist in Maverick County, registered to unseat Ramon for Place 3, City Council.
Early voting period is scheduled to commence on Monday, April 22, 2019 through Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center.
Election Day will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M.
All City of Eagle Pass citizens are encouraged to register to vote and participate in the May 4th City Council Election by casting their ballots.
