City of Eagle Pass Severe Thunderstorms Alert – May 17-18
(PSA) The City of Eagle Pass has received notice from the National Weather Service of Severe Thunderstorms POSSIBLE for our region Friday night and Saturday. Severe Thunderstorms with a POSSIBILITY of:
- Hail: Large Hail Possible (Over 1+” in diameter)
- Winds: Damaging Thunderstorm Winds over 60+ mph
- Tornadoes: Isolated
- Rainfall: Generally, between 0.5″ and 1 inch. With isolated totals up to 2 inches.
Persons who live in low-lying areas and those who live in weak structures should take all necessary precautions to safeguard from this severe weather.

La ciudad de Eagle Pass ha recibido aviso del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional de una alerta de Tormentas Severas POSIBLES para nuestra región para el Viernes por la noche y hasta el Sábado. POSIBILIDADES de tormentas severas con:
- Granizo: Granizo grande posible (más de 1 + “de diámetro)
- Vientos: ráfagas superiores a 60 MPH
- Tornados: Aislado
- Lluvia: Generalmente, entre 0,5 “y 1 pulgada. Con totales aislados de hasta 2 pulgadas.
Las personas que viven en zonas bajas y quienes viven en estructuras débiles deben tomar todas las precauciones necesarias para protegerse de este clima severo.
