Honduran National Found Dead in a Rail Yard in Eagle Pass, Texas
Tuesday, April 30, 2019, 1:32 PM: Eagle Pass Police Officers responded to the rail yard near Industrial Boulevard in regards to a reported deceased person.
Officers arrived and were directed to a railcar by Union Pacific Authorities where an adult male was discovered deceased. The investigation revealed that the fatal injuries were sustained as a result of the individual being caught between the cargo consisting of steel beams within the railcar.
Eagle Pass Police Investigators were able to identify the male subject as a 27-year-old Honduran National.
Justice of the Peace Jennie Smith was summoned to the scene and pronounced the subject deceased and remanded to body to Memorial Funeral Home.
The Mexican Consulate Office was notified to assist in locating the next of kin of the deceased.
