Selma Mijares and Kyle Luna Crowned 2019 Eagle Pass High School Homecoming Queen and King

After celebrating homecoming activities for a full week, the students at Eagle Pass High School exercised their democratic right to vote by casting their ballots for the 2019 Homecoming Queen and King with over 15 school clubs and organizations sponsored candidates for the coveted homecoming honors.
The final results were announced during halftime of the Eagle Pass Eagles football game against the Laredo Alexander Bulldogs on Friday, October 25, 2019 as the Mighty Eagle Band provided musical support of the official announcement of the student body election for homecoming queen and king.
Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium Announcer Boogie Purcell boldly announced “And now, ladies and gentlemen, the moment you have been waiting for: Your 2019 Homecoming King and Queen, representing Cheer, are Selma Mijares and Kyle Luna,” amidst loud cheers and applause from the over 2,500 fans in attendance.
Purcell also announced that “the 2019 Homecoming Prince and Princess, representing Life Skills, are Monserrat Juarez and Angel de la Pena; the 2019 Homecoming Duke and Duchess, representing Band, are Ximena Hernandez and Luis de la Cerda; the 2019 Homecoming Count and Countess, representing Tennis, are Julissa De Luna and Rey Flores; and the 2019 Homecoming Lord and Lady, representing Basketball, are Cecilia Guerrero and Norman Carreon.”
The 2019 Eagle Pass High School Homecoming festivities were sponsored by the Eagle Pass High School Student Council. Reports indicate that the 2019 Eagle Pass High School Homecoming was a great success.
