Eagle Pass Eagles Fall to Edinburg Vela Sabercats 45-21 in Area Football Championship

The mighty Eagle Pass High School Eagles fell to the Edinburg Vela High School Sabercats 45-21 in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Class 6A, Division 2, Area Football Championship on Friday, November 22, 2019, at the Laredo United ISD Student Activity Comelex Football Stadium in Laredo, Texas, finishing their 2019 season with an overall 7-5 record.

The Eagles come from behind rally mojo exhibited in the last two games against the Del Rio Rams and the Pharr San Juan Alamo Bears eluded the overachieving and valiant Eagles versus the Edinburg Vela Sabercats despite an extraordinary team effort in the Area Championship, representing our community with outstanding sportsmanship and valor.
