Chairman Scott Appoints Advisory Committee to Launch Sul Ross Presidential Search
(Press Release) William F. Scott, chairman of the TSUS Board of Regents, has appointed the following individuals to serve on the Advisory Search Committee for the next president of Sul Ross State University:

- Hector Gonzales, Ph.D., President, Southwest Texas Junior College
- Paulette Harris, Administrative Associate, SRSU

The Advisory Search Committee will meet several times over the next four months to help identify the desired attributes and qualifications of the next Sul Ross president, and to recommend finalists to the chancellor, who will select the sole finalist for Board of Regents’ consideration. Wheless Search and Consulting, an executive search firm, is assisting TSUS in the SRSU presidential search process.
The Texas State University System, founded in 1911, is Texas’ first university system. TSUS’s seven member institutions serve more than 86,000 students and span 700 miles from the Big Bend Region of West Texas to the Louisiana border.
