Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Re-Aligned to District 14-5A for Football and District 28-5A for All Other Sports

Thousands of Texas High School Athletic Directors and Coaches nervously gathered at their Texas Education Agency Regional Headquarters, such as Region 20 in San Antonio, Texas, to learn about their respective High Schools realignment by the University Interscholastic League (U.I.L.) for football and all other sports and activities during the 2020-2022 period.
Eagle Pass C.C. Winn High School Mavericks Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor announced to the Eagle Pass Business Journal the news that the Winn Mavericks were kept in the same District 14-5A classification for football, but with several new schools added and deleted from District 14-5A.
The new District 14-5A for football will include Winn, Laredo Cigarroa High School Toros (new), Laredo Martin High School Tigers (old), Rio Grande City High School Rattlers (new), San Antonio Southside High School Cardinals (new), San Antonio Southwest High School Dragons (old), and San Antonio Southwest Legacy High School Titans (old).
For all other sports other than football, the Winn Mavericks were re-aligned into District 28-5A which will include Winn, Castroville Medina Valley High School Panthers (old), Floresville High School Tigers (old), San Antonio Harlandale High School Indians (old), San Antonio McCollum High School Cowboys (old), San Antonio Southside High School Cardinals (old), San Antonio Southwest High School Dragons (old), and San Antonio Southwest Legacy High School Titans (old).
