Early Voting Deadline is Friday, February 28th, Election Day is Tuesday, March 3rd

Maverick County registered voters still have until this Friday, February 28, 2020 to vote during Early Voting of the Texas Democratic and Republican Parties” Primary Election at the City of Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center, 480 South Adams Street, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852. After Friday, February 28th, Maverick Countians will have to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at their designated Maverick County Precinct Polling Places.
“With over 30,000 registered voters in Maverick County, all voters are highly encouraged to come out and vote either during the Early Voting Period or on Election Day,” said Juanita V. Martinez, Maverick County Democratic Party Chairperson. ‘The exercise of one’s voting right is a civic duty and responsibility of all citizens in the United States. Our democratic form of government and its representatives are determined by our elections. Thus, voting is extremely important for everyone to participate in,” added Martinez.
As of Tuesday, February 25, 2020, only 4,997 Maverick Countians had voted in the first seven days of Early Voting Period in the Democratic Party Primary Election. More people need to come out and vote during the Early Voting Period until Friday, February 28th, or on Election Day, Tuesday, March 3rd. The goal is for at least 15,000 Maverick Countians to exercise their right to vote in the March 3rd Texas Primary Election. The more voters cast their ballot, the more recognition Maverick County receives from our local, state, and federal government representatives.
There are many important political posts being voted on in the Texas Primary Election, including many Maverick County positions such as Sheriff, District Attorney, County Attorney, County Commissioner Precints 1 and 3, Constables for Precincts 1, 2, 3AB, 3C, and 4, Tax Assessor-Collector, State Senate, State Representative, as well as many statewide races such as U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representative, State Board of Education, State Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Railroad Commission of Texas, and many national races such as the Democratic Party Presidential Nominee election.
Voting is easy and only takes about 10 minutes of your time. Early Voting at the Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center has been operating very smooth and efficiently. Bring your wife or husband, significant other, friends, co-workers, children, parents, or grandparents to come out and vote. Your vote does make a difference. Your vote is your voice.
After the end of Early Voting Period on Friday, February 28th, Maverick Countians will have to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, March 3rd, at their respective Maverick County Precinct Voting Polling Place.
The following Maverick County Precinct Polling Places have been designated for Tuesday, March 3rd, Election Day: Precinct 1A at Colegio Biblico, 264 North Brazos Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 1B at Eagle Pass Fire Station No. 2, 2420 Second Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 1C at Memorial Junior High Gym, 1800 Lewis Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 2A at Benavides Heights Elementary, 1750A Mesa Drive, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 2B at San Luis Elementary, 2090A Williams Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 2C at Rosita Valley Elementary, 735 Rosita Valley Road, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 2D at El Indio Community Center, 115 West Texas Street, El Indio, Texas; Precinct 3A at Glass Elementary, 1501 Boehmer Avenue, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 3B at Seco Mines Elementary, 2900 Diaz Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precinct 3C at Quemado Community Center, 20160 U.S. Highway 277, Quemado, Texas; Precinct 4A at Maverick County Courthouse, 500 Quarry Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; Precincts 4A and 4C at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, 800 Comal Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; and Precinct 4D at Henry B. Gonzalez Elementary, 400 Balcones Heights, Eagle Pass, Texas.
