Eagle Pass Nurse Elishoel Reyes Volunteers to Work in New York during COVID-19 Pandemic

Eagle Pass nurse Elishoel Reyes, age 30, of Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center has volunteered to go to work in New York, New York during the COVID-19 pandemic on a humanitarian medical mission.
Reyes applied with a medical staffing company for the opportunity to volunteer to work in New York City assisting medical patients during the surge of the COVID-19 pandemic and was selected for the program.
Reyes is scheduled to work for 21 days in New York City at one or more medical hospitals upon his arrival.
Reyes hopes to learn in depth the nursing and medical issues facing COVID-19 patients to enhance his professional skills while fulfilling his genuine desire to contribute to the humanitarian mission of providing healthcare services to the neediest patients in the world in New York City.
Upon completing his temporary assignment in New York City, Reyes plans to return to Eagle Pass and put to use the skills learned in New York in our community.
