Eagle Pass Eagles Baseball to Battle San Antonio O’Connor Panthers in Bi-District Championship

The mighty Eagle Pass High School Eagles qualified for the 2021 state baseball playoffs by virtue of their third place finish in District 30-6A under the helm of Head Coach Reynol Mendoza and will now battle the San Antonio O’Connor High School Panthers in a best of three Bi-District Championship series during May 7-8, 2021.
The 2021 Eagle Pass Eagles Baseball Team include Tavare Chavez, Ramon Salinas, Mike Perry, Aidan Lopez, Sergio Lopez, Cesar Perez, Jacob Ruiz, Omar Rodriguez, Ethan Gomez, Diego Martinez, Matthew Elizondo, Issac Stanwick, Donovan Becerra, Aaron Trevizo, Jose Duran, Fabian Velasquez, Alex Paniagua, Juan Garza, Edward Mendoza, Izhar Mauricio, Derek Ruiz, Jarod Romero, Zack Zapata, CJ Jimenez, Dre Esquivel, and Joaquin Olivas.
Eagle Pass Eagles Baseball Team Assistant Coaches include Henry Silva, Chris Villa, and Ricky Ruiz.
The Bi-District Championship series between the Eagles and the San Antonio O’Connor Panthers is being billed as a match between two of the South Texas high school baseball heavyweights.
Game 1 of the best of three series will be played on Friday, May 7, at 6 p.m. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Leopoldo “Polo” Moncada Baseball Stadium in Eagle Pass, Texas. Game 2 will be played on Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m. at the San Antonio Northside Independent School District Baseball Complex, Field No. 2, in San Antonio, Texas. Game 3, if necessary, will be 30 minutes following Game 2 on Saturday, May 8, in San Antonio.
All loyal Eagle Nation baseball aficionados are encouraged to attend the Bi-District Championship series and cheer the Eagles on to victory against the O’Connor Panthers.
