Eagle Pass Winn Mavericks Baseball Clinch District 28-5A Championship, Face San Antonio Burbank Bulldogs in Bi-District

The thundering Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Baseball Team clinched the 2021 District 28-5A Championship with an impressive 13-1 district record under the direction of Head Coach Heriberto Roiz, qualifying for the state playoffs.
The Winn Mavericks will face the San Antonio Burbank High School Bulldogs in the Bi-District Championship in a best of three series scheduled for Friday-Saturday, May 7-8, 2021. Game 1 is on Friday, May 7, at 4:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Independent School District Sports Complex Baseball Stadium in San Antonio, Texas. Game 2 is on Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Leopoldo “Polo” Moncada Baseball Stadium in Eagle Pass, Texas. Game 3, if necessary, will be 30 minutes following Game 2 in Eagle Pass.
The 2021 Winn Mavericks Baseball Team includes Jared Aguirre, Jose Anzures, Gabriel Balderas, Abiel Cardona, Oscar Cavazos, Robert De La Garza, Rey Esquivel, Efrain Estrada, Santiago Garcia, Izek Garza, Roly Jimenez, Luis Kancheff, Juan Martinez, Manuel Melchor, J.P. Ramos, Aaron Rodriguez, Jacob Salinas, Jared Salinas, Izzahi Saucedo, Jorge Saucedo, and Alan Vielma.
Winn Mavericks Baseball Assistant Coaches include Rene Ramirez, Jesus Gomez, Rolando Salinas, and Domingo Lopez.
