Eagle Pass High School Graduation Scheduled Saturday, June 12

The Eagle Pass High School Eagles Class of 2021 Graduation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 8 p.m. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) Student Activity Center Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium with approximately 520 graduates, announced Eagle Pass Independent School District Superintendent Samuel Mijares.
Spearheading the Eagle Pass High School Class of 2021 Graduation ceremony are Valedictorian Leopoldo Campos with a GPA of 112.7907 and Salutatorian Valeria Figueroa with a GPA of 111.8684. Both Campos and Figueroa will present their Valedictorian and Salutatorian speeches respectively at the graduation ceremony.
The EPISD Student Activity Center gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 8 p.m. The graduates and their parents and family members are encouraged to car pool to minimize the traffic entering and exiting the EPISD Student Activity Center.
The EPISD recommends people driving to the graduation ceremony use both entrances to the Student Activity Center, the main entrance on U.S. Highway 277 South and the auxiliary entrance on Loop 480, to evenly divide the flow of traffic coming in and out of the Student Activity Center.
The weather is expected to be hot and sunny at the graduation ceremony. All persons attending are encouraged to take precautions for the weather and stay hydrated. Water bottles will be sold at all concession stands within the Student Activity Center. Graduates will be provided a water station to remain hydrated.
All graduates participating in the graduation ceremony must adhere to the EPISD dress code policy and must arrive no later than 7 p.m. Graduates will be allowed to enter through designated areas on both the home and visitor sides of the Student Activity Center.
The Eagle Pass High School Class of 2021 persevered and survived the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully completed their high school studies.
