Eagle Pass Man Found Dead With Gunshot Wound, Believed to Have Committed Suicide

The Eagle Pass Police Department Public Relations Officer Humberto Garza announced that a 49 year old male individual was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head at his residence on Kennor Drive in Eagle Pass, Texas, believed to have committed suicide. The case is under investigation.
The male individual was found dead at his home with a gunshot wound to the head, and a Maverick County Justice of the Peace was summoned and officially pronounced the individual deceased. The Justice of the Peace ordered an autopsy be performed.
The Eagle Pass Police Department is awaiting the official results from the Webb County Medical Examiner in Laredo, Texas for the autopsy results.
A firearm was located at the residence near the body of the deceased male individual and was taken into custody as evidence.
A woman and a child were also found inside the deceased’s home, but were not injured and believed to be asleep when the tragic incident occurred.
The name of the deceased was not released by the Eagle Pass Police Department due to the case being under investigation.
